We are not called to be passive observers of history. We are called to be participants in God’s unfolding story—people who seek the LORD and His strength, who stand firm in truth, and who understand the times like the men of Issachar.
“Our sovereign and gracious God raises up champions as necessary, like He did Esther, ‘for such a time as this.’” (Esther 4:14)
All throughout history, God has raised up bold voices to clarify the Gospel and restore commitment to His Word. 500 years ago, that lion of the faith was Martin Luther. His courage sparked a reformation that reshaped the church and the world. He was not alone—many influential people of church and state joined him in boldly and publicly confessing their faith, exposing and renouncing widespread errors of the day.
The Battle for Truth is Never Over
“The devil never rests. In each generation he invents a new variation of an age-old attack: ‘Did God really say .. .’” (Genesis 3:1)
In our generation, the enemy’s tactics are cloaked in modern language and cultural trends. We can name them plainly: the evolution-millions of years myth posing as “science,” abortion posing as healthcare, LGBTQ++ posing as freedom, and various brands of Marxism with its anti-God, anti-family, divisiveness and violence posing as liberation. These ideologies promise progress but deliver confusion, brokenness, and what he calls a “utopian hell on earth wherever it is believed, pushed and implemented.”
God is Not Silent. He Continues to Raise up Champions
“One person God has recently raised up and is using mightily is Ken Ham, a former public school science teacher in Australia, who now has a multi-national impact and miraculously has built world-class attractions: the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter in northern Kentucky/greater Cincinnati.”
Ken Ham’s work defends the authority of Scripture, especially Genesis 1–11, and presents overwhelming scientific evidence confirming its historicity. His message—spoken, written, and demonstrated—calls believers back to the foundation of God’s Word.
“Another person is Charlie Kirk, whose brief life and sudden death has greatly impacted our nation, especially our youth, college age and younger adults, toward a healthy patriotism mixed with Biblical truth and values.”
These modern-day voices echo the courage of Esther and Luther. They are not perfect, but they are willing. They are not passive—they are active participants in the spiritual battle of our time.
“Thank God for sending us people like ‘the men of Issachar, who understood the times and knew what Israel should do.’” (1 Chronicles 12:32)
So What About Us?
We are living in a time of great deception—but also great opportunity. The question is not whether God is moving. The question is whether we will join Him. Will we seek the LORD and His strength? Will we stand for truth, even when it’s unpopular? Will we raise our voices, clarify the Gospel, and restore commitment to God’s Word in our homes, churches, and communities?
This is our moment. This is our time. Let us not shrink back. Let us step into the story.
