The Bible—Basic Information Before Leaving Earth—is not vague about the origins of God The Creator. It doesn’t speculate. It declares. Repeatedly, clearly, and emphatically, God tells us that He created everything that exists. Not through a slow, random process. Not through evolutionary guesswork. But by His Word—instantly, fully formed, and for His glory.
The Beginning
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” — Genesis 1:1
He Spoke—and It Was So
Genesis 1 records six days of creation, each marked by a divine command and immediate fulfillment:
“And God said, ‘Let there be…’ and it was so.” — Genesis 1:3, 6, 9, 11, 14, 20, 24
This phrase appears six times—once per day—showing that creation was not gradual, but instantaneous. There is no room for evolutionary development in this account. God spoke, and it came to be.
“By the Word of the LORD the heavens were made, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth… For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.” — Psalm 33:6, 9
The New Testament affirms this truth:
“By faith we understand that the universe was created by the Word of God.” — Hebrews 11:3
Faith is required either way. Evolutionists believe in a process they’ve never seen, can’t repeat, and can’t verify. But biblical creation is grounded in the testimony of the One who was there—and who cannot lie.
Six Literal Days—Not Eons
Genesis doesn’t just tell us what God did—it tells us how long it took. Each day is marked by:
- An ordinal number: “first… second… third…”
- A time marker: “There was evening and there was morning”
This pattern is repeated six times, followed by:
“Thus the heavens and the earth were finished… and on the seventh day God finished His work… and He rested.” — Genesis 2:1–2
The seven-day week, observed worldwide, finds its origin here. Day and night come from Earth’s rotation. Months from the moon’s phases. Years from our orbit around the sun. But the week? It exists because God created for six days and rested on the seventh.
God Himself confirms this timeline when giving the Ten Commandments:
“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy… For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day.” — Exodus 20:8, 11
“In six days the LORD made heaven and earth… and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.” — Exodus 31:15, 17
These are not poetic metaphors. They are historical facts, engraved in stone by the finger of God.
When Did Creation Happen?
God doesn’t just tell us how He created—He tells us when. Genesis 5 and 11 provide detailed genealogies from Adam to Abraham, listing the age of each patriarch when his son was born.
- From Adam to Noah: 10 generations, totaling 1,056 years
- From Shem to Abraham: another 10 generations, totaling roughly 300 years after the Flood
The New Testament confirms the accuracy of these genealogies:
“Enoch, the seventh from Adam…” — Jude 1:14
If Noah was born around 1056 AM (Anno Mundi, “year of the world”), and the Flood occurred in 1656 AM (Genesis 7:6), then Abraham’s birth around 1956 AM places him roughly 2,000 years after Creation.
A traditional biblical timeline looks like this:
| Patriarch/Event | Approximate Year (B.C.) |
|---|---|
| Noah | ~2500 B.C. |
| Abraham | ~2000 B.C. |
| Moses | ~1500 B.C. |
| David | ~1000 B.C. |
This places Creation around 4000 B.C., making the current age of the world approximately 6,000 years.
What’s Coming Next?
The same Word that created the universe will also bring judgment:
“By the same Word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire… until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.” — 2 Peter 3:7
Just as Creation was sudden and complete, so will be the judgment. It won’t be a slow burn—it will be decisive, final, and just.
The Door Is Still Open
The Word that created the universe is the Word that became flesh—Jesus Christ. He is the Savior, the Redeemer, and the Judge. And while the door is still open, we’re invited to come.
“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved.” — John 10:9
“Seek the LORD while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near.” — Isaiah 55:6
Created for His Glory
Everything God made—every star, every tree, every person—was created for His glory.
“For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever.” — Romans 11:36
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.” — Psalm 19:1
Creation is not an accident. It’s a masterpiece. And the Creator is still calling.

Final Challenge
You’re invited to prove this wrong—but only by Scripture. Not by speculative science. Not by compromised theology. Not by the opinions of men desperate to escape accountability. If you reject the Creator, you reject the very foundation of truth.
But if you receive Him, you step into the purpose for which you were made: to know Him, to worship Him, and to glorify Him forever.
“Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they existed and were created.” — Revelation 4:11
